MASON MOVIE PROJECT

The climate of Jim Crow in society in the state of Mississippi refused to accept the War Department’s approval, and creates a conspiracy saying, that Mason is really a German sympathizer who is working directly with Kaiser Wilhelm the II. The FBI uses this as an excuse to violate Mason and his organization civil liberties under the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to the freedom of religious expression. To make things worse the FBI discovers that Charles Mason is leading an interracial denominational movement throughout the United States, which the FBI feels is contradictory to the Jim Crow standard of Plessy vs. Ferguson that states that African Americans had to live separate but equal from white Americans. 

One usual irony is in 1895 in Little Rock, Arkansas a distant relative of one of the founding fathers of the United States assist Mason to establish his first church of which he became his first member. He encourages Mason to establish an interracial church based upon the constitution of the United State under freedom of Assembly. President James Adams wrote the first legal document in Virginia surrounding religious tolerance in America, and his insights help to craft the first Amendment to the Constitution surrounding freedom of Religion and the freedom to assemble. Adam’s relatives had their attorney to file Mason’s first corporation and religious creed in Washington, DC, in 1895 to establish legal bases for interracial worship.
